Andrew serves as VP, clinical development operations, for Mariana Oncology. He brings 20-plus years of clinical development experience with a focus on oncology and rare disease drug development. Andrew’s extensive experience spans across all phases of drug development, from translational work through post-approval commitments, and has included innovative trial designs such as perpetual and adaptive platform trials.

Prior to joining Mariana Oncology, Andrew served as the head of clinical development operations at a number of Cambridge-area biotech companies, including Ra Pharmaceuticals and Vigil Neuroscience. Notably, having built Ra Pharma’s clinical development operations department, Andrew helped guide Ra Pharma through its transition from a proof-of-concept stage biotech start-up to a company prepared to execute a pivotal, registrational program in generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG)—a success that ultimately lead to Ra Pharma’s acquisition by UCB, Inc.

Andrew is passionate about his work in drug development and, in particular, its impact on patients and their caregivers. Ensuring that the patients’ voice is heard and felt throughout the development process is a core principle by which he lives and measures the success of his programs.
