Travis Tirrell joined Mariana Oncology in May 2023 and serves as the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel. Travis brings to Mariana Oncology more than 18 years of experience in the life science industry. Prior to joining Mariana Oncology, Travis served as director, R&D legal for Beam Therapeutics, where he built and led the R&D legal and contracts team. Prior to joining Beam, Travis served as contracts attorney at Sage Therapeutics, supporting the commercial team on a pending launch. Prior to joining Sage, Travis was associate director of legal for Forma Therapeutics, where he helped build the legal team and supported multiple clinical programs in all phases of development. Prior to Forma, Travis spent 10 years at Millennium/Takeda, where he worked in various quality, operations, and regulatory roles with increasing degrees of responsibility.

Travis holds a BA in criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University, an MS in regulatory affairs from Northeastern University, and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.
